Vision Arts Festival 46°34’25”N 7°49’84”E

The Vision Arts Festival takes place in Crans Montana high in the Swiss Alps. The 2018 edition saw 11 artists transform the concrete structures so beloved by ski resorts into art.

Photographer Julia Revitt followed the progress of Montreux resident Nicolas Bamert, known by his pseudonym 'L'Original artiste', as he painted the water treatment building.

Hidden up a fire track away from the village centre the 'Station de Traitement des Eaux' is a typical function over form Swiss municipal building. Nicolas spent several days turning it into 'The Water Paradise' and still had enthusiasm for a few extras.

What the workers thought come Monday morning would have been interesting.

Elsewhere artists where re-imagining buildings high in the mountains and few choice walls in the village. The festival runs in for a week August.
