The Cristal de Jade is a five-star residence in the centre of Chamonix Mont-Blanc, France next to the Aiguille du Midi cable car.
The Cristal de Jade is a residence in the heart of Chamonix. Three buildings of 51 apartments are connected via a series of walkways with underground parking, a wellness centre (swimming pool, jacuzzis, sauna, hammam) a gym and a spa. Whilst not a hotel, the residences are the closest to modern luxury you will find in the town. Don't expect services as the reception is only open during the day and only provide basic help from the desk.
We have stayed in a one-bedroom ground floor, a two-bedroom duplex top floor and a two-bedroom groundfloor. The views from the groundfloor apartments are poor. Apartments facing inward has the best views. The location is central so can be busy during peak, season so for a peaceful stay visit out of July and August.
The apartments are well equipped with a decent-sized kitchen, especially by Chamonix standards. Rooms are cleaned once a week and some extras like shopping delivery, a selection of wines and champagnes, bakery service, ski lockers with boot-dryers, and rental of ski equipment are available.
The pool is a good size with seating both inside and outside. A smaller children's pool is also available. The residences also have a washing room with a dryer and a bike room.
