Radisson Blu Hotel Reussen

The Radisson Blu Reussen in Andermatt, Switzerland is a four-star hotel with excellent facilities in a central location ideal for exploring the area. It is perfect for discovering some of the best Swiss passes like the Furka, Susten and Saint Gotthard.

We booked our trip online and arrived in Andermatt around the 3pm check-in time, parking outside the entrance while checking in. The lobby is a pleasant space with a seating area, fireplace and elegant Bärbar lounge. Check-in was efficient and after receiving our key we moved our car to the large underground parking for an extra charge and took a lift direct to our floor. We had a 28m² standard room which was modern with warm colours and wood. The room had a view of the piazza.

The bathroom was large and well-equipped with a good shower and plenty of towels. We used room service which was ideal with the convenient table and chairs in the room. We had a tasty pasta dish which came promptly with plenty of condiments and bread provided.

We took breakfast in the restaurant just outside the lobby, a buffet selection which met our needs, although I imagine it could get crowded in the winter season. Other facilities include a pool, fitness facility and games room. A paid spa option is also available.

Visiting in the summer meant the hotel wasn't busy - I imagine the winter experience may vary considerably, particularly in the shared areas like the breakfast restaurant which did seem small for such a large hotel.

Service was outstanding during our visit and the staff were helpful. We found the hotel good value for money compared to others in the area with facilities not available at smaller hotels and would happily visit again.
